Platform Language controls the DEEIX Chat interface language. It affects menus, buttons, prompts, error messages, date and time formatting, and number formatting. It does not translate existing chat content or change the model's default response language.

Supported Languages#

DEEIX Chat currently supports two interface languages:

LanguageDisplay name
EnglishEnglish
Simplified Chinese简体中文

The language option only controls the app interface. The language used by the model still depends mainly on your prompt, project instructions, conversation preferences, and model capability.

First Visit#

On the first visit, the app checks the browser language. Chinese browser languages use Simplified Chinese, English browser languages use English, and other languages fall back to English.

The initial guide also includes a language selector. After selection, the current page updates immediately. When the guide is completed, the language is saved to the account profile.

After Sign-In#

After sign-in, DEEIX reads the language preference saved on the current account and syncs it to the interface. This keeps the same account consistent across browsers and devices whenever possible.

If the current browser previously saved a different language, the signed-in account preference takes priority.

Browser Preference#

Language selection is also saved in the browser. Before sign-in, on public share pages, or in other unauthenticated views, DEEIX uses the browser's saved language first. If there is no saved value, it falls back to the browser language.

This local preference only affects the current browser. A different browser, a different device, or cleared browser data may use the browser language or account language again.

What Changes#

Changing the platform language affects common interface surfaces:

ContentWhat changes
Menus and buttonsSidebar, chat, files, settings, and other interface labels switch language.
Prompts and errorsUpload, save, delete, permission, and session messages use the current language.
Dates and timesConversation update times, file upload times, and account session times follow the current language format.
Numbers and usageSubscription, usage, billing, and statistics number formats follow the current language.

Existing chat messages, file content, share snapshots, and exported data are not rewritten when the interface language changes.

Difference From Response Language#

Platform language is interface language. It is not the same as model response language. You can ask in Chinese while the interface is English, or ask the model to respond in English while the interface is Simplified Chinese.

To make the model consistently respond in a language, use conversation preferences, project instructions, or the current prompt. For example: “请默认使用简体中文回答” or “Use English for all responses in this project.”

Practical Tips#

On shared devices, check the interface language after signing in. For public shares or temporary access, switch the browser language preference if the display language is unexpected. To control model output language, do not rely only on platform language; state the requirement in prompts or preferences.
