Platform Language is the interface language of DEEIX Chat. It changes menus, buttons, messages, and date and number formats. It does not translate existing chat content or set the language the model replies in.
Where to find it#
Open the account menu at the bottom of the left sidebar by selecting your avatar. The menu contains a Language submenu.
The same language selector also appears in the setup guide on first sign-in.
Change the interface language#
- Select your avatar at the bottom of the left sidebar.
- Point at Language to open the submenu.
- Select English or 简体中文.
The interface switches immediately. The choice is saved to your account, so the same account keeps it on other browsers and devices.
Choose the language on first sign-in#
- Sign in for the first time. The setup guide opens.
- On the first step, find Language.
- Select English or 简体中文.
- Select Start to continue.
The page switches as soon as you pick a language. When you finish the guide, the choice is saved to your account profile.
What the language controls#

Existing chat messages, file content, share snapshots, and exported data keep the language they were created in.
Browser and account preference#
The language is also stored in the current browser. Before sign-in, on public share pages, and in other unauthenticated views, DEEIX uses the browser value first, then the browser language.
After sign-in, the account preference takes priority over the browser value. If you previously used a different language in this browser, signing in switches to the account language.
Clearing browser data or using another browser may fall back to the browser language until you sign in again.
Platform language vs model response language#
Platform language is only the interface. It does not tell the model which language to answer in. You can keep the interface in English and still ask in Chinese, or the other way around.
To make the model answer in a specific language, put the requirement in the current message, in Projects project instructions, or in General conversation preferences. For example: "Use English for all responses" or "请默认使用简体中文回答".
