Account Settings manage login security, email, password, two-factor authentication, identity providers, active sessions, public ID, and account deletion.

Entry Point#

Open Settings, then choose Account. The page includes account security, linked identity providers, and active sessions.

Account settings involve login and security. Changing password, email, two-factor authentication, or deleting the account may require email codes, two-factor codes, or recovery codes.

DEEIX Chat Account Settings

Email#

Email can be used for identity verification, sensitive changes, and security flows. The page shows whether the current email is verified.

If the email is unverified, use Verify to send a code. When changing email, DEEIX may ask for current email, new email, or two-factor verification depending on account security state.

Keep the email accessible. Account deletion, password changes, and email changes may depend on email verification codes.

Login Password#

Login password can be set or updated. After changing password, the current session becomes invalid and you need to sign in again with the new password.

If the account was created through an identity provider, setting a password is still useful as a fallback login method before unlinking providers.

Two-Factor Authentication#

Two-factor authentication adds another layer of protection. To enable it, scan the QR code with an authenticator app or enter the secret manually, then submit a code.

After enabling, save recovery codes. They are shown only once and are used when the authenticator device is unavailable.

DEEIX Chat Two-Factor Authentication

When managing two-factor authentication, you can disable it or regenerate recovery codes. These actions usually require a code or recovery code.

Log Out All Devices#

Log out all devices invalidates other online sessions for the account. Use it when you suspect account exposure, switch devices, forget to log out on a shared device, or want to clean sessions after a password change.

Other devices need to sign in again afterward. Whether the current device remains signed in depends on the platform result and browser state.

Public ID#

Public ID is the account's public identifier. Use the copy button when support, troubleshooting, or collaboration needs a stable user reference.

Public ID is not a password or login token, but it still should not be shared in unrelated places.

Identity Providers#

If the platform enables third-party identity providers, the Account page shows linked providers and allows binding other available providers.

Unlinking may be disabled if the account has no password and only one provider remains, so you do not lose login access. Set a password or bind another provider before unlinking the last provider.

Active Sessions#

Active sessions show signed-in devices, location, IP, creation time, and last update time. The current session is marked.

If you see an unknown device or unusual location, log out that session from the row menu, or use Log out all devices for broader cleanup.

Delete Account#

Deleting an account is permanent. After deletion, the account and chat history cannot be restored. DEEIX requires an available verification method, such as two-factor code, recovery code, or email code.

If no verification method is available, the page asks you to verify email or enable two-factor authentication first. Before deleting, make sure anything you need has been exported or saved.

Practical Tips#

Set a reachable email and login password first, then enable two-factor authentication and save recovery codes. Check active sessions regularly and remove unknown devices. Keep at least one fallback login method when linking identity providers. Before deleting an account, confirm whether any data must be retained.
