Usage Statistics is the admin dashboard for model usage across the platform. It summarizes cost, tokens, calls, and latency for a time range, then breaks the data down by model, user, and permission group.
Where to find it#
Open the admin console and select Statistics in the sidebar. The page opens on the last 30 days and loads four metric cards, a usage trend chart, a model ranking, a user ranking, and a content moderation section.
The dashboard reads usage from the billing ledger, so it only shows activity that has already been recorded. The newest calls may not appear until the next refresh.
Set the time range#
- Click the date button in the top-right toolbar.
- Choose Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or Last 90 days.
- To pick exact dates, choose Custom, then select the start and end dates.
The range cannot exceed 366 days. An invalid range shows a message and stops loading:
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Select both a start and end date. | One of the two dates is empty. |
| The end date must be on or after the start date. | The end date is earlier than the start date. |
| The selected range cannot exceed 366 days. | The range is longer than the limit. |
Chart granularity follows the range length:
| Range | Granularity |
|---|---|
| Up to 30 days | By day |
| 31 to 179 days | By week |
| 180 days or more | By month |
Filter the data#
Open the filter popover. The number next to Filter shows how many filters are active.
| Filter | Options | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Subject | All users, Users, Permission groups | Limits the dashboard to one user or one permission group. |
| Model | All models or one platform model | Limits the dashboard to one platform model. |
| Billing type | All calls, Free models, Billable models | Separates free-model calls from billable calls. |
For permission groups, the dashboard counts usage of users who are currently in the group: every user for the default group, manual members, and users whose active subscription plan references the group. It does not use historical membership.
Click Clear filters to reset subject, model, and billing type at once.
Read the metrics#
The four cards at the top summarize the selected range and filters.
| Metric | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Total cost | Billed amount for the range, in the billing display currency. |
| Total tokens | Sum of input, cache, output, and reasoning tokens. |
| Total calls | Number of recorded calls. |
| Average latency | Average response latency across the recorded calls. |
Read the usage trend#
The trend chart plots the selected metric against time and adds average latency as a dashed line. Use the Cost, Tokens, and Calls tabs to switch the metric. The legend hides or shows either series. Hover a point to see tokens, cost, calls, and latency for that period.
Rank models and users#
Below the trend, Top models and Top users show stacked bars for the top 10 entries in the selected metric. Each ranking has its own Cost, Tokens, and Calls tabs. Hover a bar to see the per-period values and the total.
Entries with no name are shown as Unknown model or User #{id}. A user label uses the display name when available, then the username.
Read content moderation statistics#
The Content moderation section at the bottom is independent of the filters above and always covers the last 90 days.
| Metric | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Checks | Number of moderation checks. |
| Hits | Checks that matched a moderation category. |
| Hit rate | Hits divided by checks. |
| Failure-open | Checks where moderation could not complete and the request was allowed through. |
| Avg latency | Average moderation latency, shown under the chart. |
The moderation trend chart has Checks, Hits, and Failure-open tabs, plus the average latency line.
Refresh#
Click Refresh to reload the dashboard with the current range and filters. Refresh is disabled while a range error is present. Each ranking caches results per metric, so switching tabs does not always trigger a new request.
Troubleshooting#
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| No usage data for the selected filters. | Widen the range or clear filters. New activity may not be in the ledger yet. |
| Could not load usage statistics | Check the network connection, then refresh. If the session expired, sign in again. |
| Could not load dashboard filters | The user, permission group, or model list failed to load. Refresh to retry. |
| A model or user shows as unknown | The ledger references a record that no longer exists or has no display name. |
| No moderation aggregates in the last 90 days. | Content moderation has no recorded checks in the retention window. |
